Mission Statement
WELCOME - WORSHIP - WITNESS
We welcome all people to worship God by offering our lives in daily witness to the love of Jesus Christ.
A Congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America
Who We Are: We are baptized members of the Church of Christ, responding in faith to the call of the Holy Spirit through the Gospel, desiring to unite together to preach the Word of God, Administer the Sacraments, and carry out God's mission in this world. We are a congregation representing this community with a history and mission dating back to 1983. We are a member congregation of the Nebraska Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America
We are involved ecumenically with other Plattsmouth congregations sharing ministry in our community.
What We Believe: This congregation confesses faith in the Triune God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. That God the Father has created and preserves all things. That God the Son, Jesus Christ, has redeemed all people through his life, death, and resurrection. That God the Holy Spirit has brought us to faith and preserves and sustains us in that faith. The Holy Bible is the written Word of God, inspired by God's Spirit. The Apostles', Nicene, and Athanasian Creeds are true declarations of the Christian faith. The Gospel (Good News) is the power of God to create and sustain the Church for God's mission in the world.
As Christians, we are called to worship God through proclamation of the Word, sharing of the sacraments, and living lives of prayer, service, witness, praise, and thanksgiving.
